Day One

Bruchim Habaim L'Yisrael! (Welcome to Israel!)

  • Following your overnight flight from North America, arrive at Ben Gurion International AirportTransfer to hotel in Jerusalem to relax from your journey
  • Overnight in Jerusalem

Day Two

Begin your Holy Land exploration in Jerusalem:

  • Drive along Mt. Scopus to the Mount of Olives for a magnificent panoramic view of the Old City
  • Visit the Gardens of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations
  • Visit the Christian Quarter and explore the Bazaar, part of the Via Dolorosa and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher
  • Continue to the rebuilt Jewish Quarter including the old Sephardic synagogues, the Roman Cardo, and view Temple Mount with the impressive shrine of the Dome of the Rock
  • Continue to the Western Wall, to visit Judaism’s most sacred site
  • Visit Mount Zion and the Room of the Last Supper and King David’s Tomb
  • Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day Three

Visit the New City of Jerusalem:

  • Begin the day with a visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. Walk through the astounding new Museum with its new and moving focus on the individual in the Holocaust, the Children’s Memorial and Hall of Remembrance
  • Visit Mt. Herzl and pay tribute to the Nation’s Leaders
  • Drive through the New City viewing old and new neighborhoods, the Knesset (The Israeli Parliament) and the beautifully designed Supreme Court building
  • Visit the nearby Israel Museum where, among many other fascinating exhibits, you can discover the mysteries of the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Shrine of the Book and see the 1:50 scale Model of Jerusalem from Second Temple times
  • Enjoy a stroll around downtown Jerusalem - walk in the pedestrian malls of Ben Yehuda Street, Nahalat Shiva, a restored quarter of shops, galleries and cafes, and the Mahane Yehuda open-air fruit and vegetable market
  • Overnight in Jerusalem

Day Four

Journey to the lowest spot on Earth:

  • Descend 3,600 feet to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on Earth
  • Pass by Ein Gedi, a biblical oasis
  • Continue on to Massada, taking the cable-car up to explore this fortress built by Herod the Great, which was the scene of the epic stand by Jewish rebels at the end of the Great Revolt against Rome nearly 2,000 years ago
  • Experience the buoyant waters of the Dead Sea; a lifetime experience, and shop for special Dead Sea cosmetics and other products
  • On your return to Jerusalem stop by the Qumran caves and view the ancient caves where the world-famous Dead Seas Scrolls were discovered
  • Overnight in Jerusalem

Day Five

Travel to Haifa and the Galilee:

  • Head up the Mediterranean coast today, stopping first at Caesarea National Park to see the remains of the former Roman capital, including the ancient theater and hippodrome, then walk the seaside promenade to the renovated port area within the Crusader walls
  • On to Haifa, to see the magnificent Baha’i Shrine and Gardens, the world center for the Baha’i faith. This site is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site
  • Enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the bay from the Louis Promenade, then head to the renovated old German Colony neighborhood for dinner and a stroll
  • In the late afternoon, arrive in Acre, the ancient Phoenician and Crusader seaport (another UNESCO World Heritage Site), and visit the impressive Crusaders excavations, the covered markets and along the 18th century ramparts and the fishing port
  • Overnight in the Galilee

Day Six

Visit the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights:

  • Start your day in Nazareth and visit the Church of Annunciation
  • Continue to the Sea of Galilee, also located below sea level and visit Capernaum
  • Ascend to the Golan Heights for a breath-taking view over the Lake and the Galilee
  • Visit Kibbutz Degania, the first kibbutz established in Israel 100 years ago
  • Visit the Jordan River outlet and chance to buy some of the local sweet dates
  • Continue to Jaffa and visit this ancient city. Walk the restored Artists Colony, followed by an orientation drive of Tel Aviv
  • View at close hand the Bahaus buildings which have awarded it as a world Heritage Site by UNESCO
  • Overnight in Tel Aviv

Day Seven

Homeward bound:

  • Transfer from your hotel to Ben Gurion International Airport and your flight home
